The Carp Connection Cup kicks off on Friday 1st
August. This page contains the schedule for the
weekends event!
Friday 1st August 2008
1pm - Draw for swims
The Draw for swims will take place at 1pm on the
Friday afternoon. All entrants are welcome to turn
up earlier and look around, as long as others
fishing is respected.
The draw will be a "watercraft" draw. All competing names will be placed into
a hat drawn at random, with the angler free to
choose his swim upon his name being drawn.
Staff places are not drawn,
but are chosen close to the social area. If anyone
has any issues with this then please air them on the
forum or direct to us;
Anyone who turns up after the draw is made is
welcome to fill any other swims available.
2pm - Commence Angling
A car horn will be sounded to announce the start
of the fishing.
7pm - All Anglers to reel in - Burger Bar Open
Friday night Bumpy & Marsbar will be providing a
burger bar;

Single cheese burger
Double cheese burger
Hot-dogs and onions
(served with various relish, brown or red sauce)
All the profits from
the sale of the food goes directly into the pot for
EACH.
7:30pm - Dave Lane Slide Show
Dave Lane - Giving a slide show
Respected big fish angler Dave Lane will be
giving a special slide show to all attendees to the
event. Dave has volunteered to give his own time
free of charge for the charity event.
Dave will be speaking for about an hour about
some of his most memorable results including an old
favourite, the Black Mirror. There will be some
adult content so over 18's only!
Please Note:
Competitors attend the slide show free of charge,
any one else wishing to attend will be charged £5.00
for entry to the talk.
Saturday 2nd August 2008
All Day
Kishy & Trio will be walking round the lake selling
Raffle Tickets.
10am - Bumpy's Breakfast Bar Bonanza
Orders will be taken, and breakfast delivered to
your swim;

On the Saturday night there will be a BBQ Party
for all competitors and guests, this year the BBQ
will be provided by Bumpy.

The price of the BBQ is included in the entrance

on the Saturday night at a cost of £5 per person.
