Whilst being one of Suffolk's most popular specimen hunters
destinations, the two pit's at Melton offer good quality fishing for
all anglers with a dedicated match pit and the much larger specimen
pit.

The main lake contains a sizeable head of carp, and some very big
bream (which is all I managed to catch during my February visit to the
water).
The smaller lake is a good bet for a bite or two on a cold winter
day, as it is literally stuffed full of carp (including a rumoured
20 that "escaped" from the main lake).
The venue get's very busy during the summer months with the hoards
of local kids running around the lake causing pandemonium.
If it's a
quiet day you're after, might be better to look elsewhere.
